Davido's “Be There Still,” released today as as the third single from 5ive, following the infectious “Awuke” featuring YG Marley and the street-savvy “Funds” with ODUMODUBLVCK and Chike. Co produced by Marvey Muzique, South African amapiano maestro DJ Maphorisa, and Black Culture.

With mixing handled by D RO, the track seamlessly blends Afrobeats with amapiano’s signature log drums and melodic undertones. The result is a polished, groove laden anthem that showcases Davido’s knack for merging global influences with his Nigerian roots.

Lyrically, “Be There Still” stands out as a reflective ode to Davido’s 12-year tenure at the pinnacle of the music industry. Lines like “Many go go, many go come, I will be there still” and “Na God dey bless me all the way/12 years, I’m still on top” underscore his resilience and gratitude, serving as both a personal manifesto and a nod to his loyal fanbase whom he affectionately calls his “Day 1s.”

In a statement accompanying the release, Davido described the song as “special,” crafted to resonate with those who have supported him since his 2012 debut, “Dami Duro.” Positioned as track three on the 17-track 5ive, it sets a tone of introspection amid the album’s broader narrative of growth and truth.

Davido first teased “Be There Still” on March 7 via social media, announcing its drop date and tying it to the overarching story of 5ive, which he initially revealed in December 2024. Billed as his most personal project to date, the album promises to weave together his experiences, struggles, and triumphs, with “Be There Still” acting as a cornerstone of that vision.

The rollout for 5ive has been methodical and deliberate, reflecting Davido’s status as one of Africa’s most influential artists. Since hinting at the album late last year, he has steadily released singles to whet fans’ appetites, each showcasing a different facet of his artistry.
