The announcement underscores Afro Nation’s reputation for curating lineups that bridge African music with global sounds like hip-hop, R&B, dancehall, and Amapiano. Brown’s inclusion is particularly fitting given his deep ties to the Afrobeats scene. Over the years.

He has collaborated with some of Nigeria’s biggest names, including Davido on the 2023 track “Sensational,” Wizkid on “Call Me Every Day” from 2022, and Rema on “Time N Affection” from his Breezy album. These partnerships have seamlessly blended his smooth R&B vocals with African rhythms, earning him a warm reception across the continent.

His return to Afro Nation he previously headlined the Portugal edition in 2022, surprising fans with a guest appearance from Rema signals another blockbuster performance, likely spotlighting his latest project. Joining Brown atop the bill are Afrobeats’ most celebrated talents. Burna Boy, the Nigerian artist behind global anthems like “Last Last” and “Ye,” will make his fourth Afro Nation appearance, cementing his status as a festival mainstay.

Known for his commanding live shows, Burna Boy’s set is expected to draw heavily from his expansive catalog. Davido, another Nigerian powerhouse, brings his high-octane energy and hits like “Unavailable” to the stage, with organizers teasing a special performance tied to the festival’s fifth anniversary and his forthcoming album, 5ive, slated for release later in 2025.

Tems, the soulful voice behind “Essence” and a collaborator with artists like Drake and Future, will make history as the first female African artist to headline Afro Nation, her star power amplified by her critically acclaimed 2024 debut album, Born in the Wild.

The 2025 lineup extends beyond its headliners, offering a rich tapestry of talent across multiple stages. The main LIT Stage will host the festival’s marquee acts, while the Piano People stage, dedicated to South Africa’s Amapiano genre, will feature heavyweights like Scorpion Kings comprised of DJ Maphorisa.
