Chelsea Secure Potential €15m Bargain with Signing of Promising Teen Talent

Chelsea Football Club’s reputation for identifying and nurturing young talent has been a cornerstone of their transfer strategy in recent years, and their latest acquisition could prove to be yet another masterstroke. Reports have surfaced about a "complete" teenage signing who might just be the next big thing at Stamford Bridge, acquired for a fee in the region of €15 million.

One of the most intriguing prospects linked to this story is Denner Evangelista, a 17-year old Brazilian fullback currently plying his trade with Corinthians. According to sources close to the deal, Chelsea have agreed to a transfer package valued at €10 million, with an additional €4 million in performance related add-ons, bringing the total close to the €15 million mark referenced in recent discussions.

The catch? Evangelista won’t officially join the Blues until the summer of 2026, when he turns 18 in February of that year, adhering to FIFA regulations on international transfers of minors. Upon completion, he is expected to sign a long-term contract running until 2032, signaling Chelsea’s confidence in his potential to develop into a first team regular.

Evangelista’s profile fits the "bargain" label perfectly. At just €14 15 million, securing a highly rated South American talent particularly from Brazil, a nation renowned for producing world-class footballers represents a calculated investment. Fullbacks with pace, technical ability, and positional versatility are in high demand across Europe’s top leagues.

And Evangelista’s early promise suggests he could follow in the footsteps of previous Brazilian stars who’ve thrived in the Premier League. Chelsea’s scouting network, which has consistently unearthed gems from South America, appears to have struck gold once again, with the relatively modest fee potentially paying dividends if Evangelista fulfills his potential.

The second candidate in this transfer saga is Mathis Amougou, a 19-year-old midfielder whose move from Saint Étienne to Chelsea was finalized in February 2025 for a reported €15 million.

While slightly older than the typical "teen signing" archetype, Amougou’s transfer aligns precisely with the financial figure mentioned and carries the hallmarks of a player deemed "complete" enough to contribute sooner rather than later.

Unlike Evangelista, who remains a long-term project, Amougou is seen as a prospect capable of integrating into Chelsea’s first team setup almost immediately, offering versatility in midfield and a mature playing style honed in France’s competitive youth systems.
