The 2024 Billboard Music Awards are set to celebrate the global reach of Afrobeats, with four prominent artists receiving nominations. Asake, Tems, Rema, and Burna Boy are all vying for the coveted Top Afrobeats Artist award, showcasing the genre's growing influence.


Tems, known for her soulful vocals, secured two nominations: Top Afrobeats Artist and Top Afrobeats Song for her hit "Me & U." Asake, a rising star with a string of chart-topping hits. 

Is nominated for Top Afrobeats Artist, reflecting his impact on the genre. Rema, known for his energetic sound, also received a nod for Top Afrobeats Artist, highlighting the success of his sophomore album, "HEIS."


Burna Boy, a veteran of the Afrobeats scene, completes the list of nominees, marking his third Billboard Music Award nomination. This recognition further solidifies his status as a leading figure in the genre.


The Billboard Music Awards ceremony will take place on December 12, 2024, and will celebrate the achievements of artists across various genres.
