In a video statement shared on his Instagram, Diddy acknowledged the reprehensible nature of his actions captured in the footage, admitting to hitting "rock bottom" during that period and expressing deep regret.

Reflecting on the incident, he emphasized his commitment to self-improvement through therapy and rehabilitation post the distressing episode, expressing genuine remorse without seeking forgiveness.

Cassie, also known as Casandra Ventura, had earlier alleged in a lawsuit that Combs subjected her to physical abuse, including assault and rape, throughout their relationship, with the video reportedly supporting her claims.

Despite Combs' initial denial of the allegations and insistence that the subsequent settlement did not imply guilt, the emergence of the video has shed new light on the disturbing events that took place in a hotel hallway in March 2016.
