Al-Hilal's victory was fueled by two goals from Aleksandar Mitrovic, a recent acquisition from Fulham in the English Premier League, along with a goal from Sergej Milinkovic-Savic and an own goal from Ahmed Al-Juwaid.

The result placed Al-Hilal 12 points ahead of Al-Nassr, its Riyadh-based rival, with only three games left in the season.

Despite the disappointment of missing out on the league title, Cristiano Ronaldo, who joined Al-Nassr in December 2022, maintained his lead in the goal-scoring charts.

Ronaldo's 33rd goal came in a 3-2 victory against Al-Okhdood the day before Al-Hilal's triumph, putting him nine goals ahead of Mitrovic in second place.

With just one goal shy of the league record set by Abderrazak Hamdallah in 2019, the five-time Ballon d’Or winner continues to showcase his goal-scoring prowess in the Saudi Pro League.
