Victor Osimhen Expresses Gratitude Following Victory at Ghana Football Awards

Victor Osimhen, the talented Super Eagles striker, expressed his immense delight upon being named the recipient of the Best African International award at the esteemed Ghana Football Awards. Despite tough competition from the likes of Mohamed Salah and Riyad Mahrez, Osimhen emerged as the clear winner.


In a short video posted on Twitter, Osimhen thanked everyone for their support and also the organisers of the award for the recognition.


“Hello everyone I’m Victor Osimhen, SSC Napoli striker. It’s a great privilege for me to win this award it’s really a great honour.


“Thank you to those who voted for me and their support and major thanks to the organisers, Ghana Football Award for their love and support also I appreciate you for this recognition I’ll keep making Africa proud.


“Thank you all and God bless you.”


Osimhen's exceptional performance significantly contributed to Napoli securing the league title in Italy, a remarkable achievement they hadn't accomplished since 1990.

 He emerged as the top scorer in the Italian top-flight with an impressive tally of 26 goals, becoming the first-ever African player to win the golden boot in Serie A. Furthermore, his outstanding contributions led to him being named the Best Foreign Athlete in Italy during the season.
