Mauricio Pochettino, the new Chelsea coach, plans a major overhaul as 15 players are set to depart the club

Chelsea's incoming manager, Mauricio Pochettino, strategizes a significant squad revamp, leading to the exit of 15 players.

With Mauricio Pochettino taking charge, Chelsea's new manager initiates a major squad reshuffle, resulting in the exit of 15 players from the team.

Under Todd Boehly's consortium, Chelsea's expenditure on new signings has reached a staggering £600 million in just one year, following their takeover from Roman Abramovich. However, due to the calamitous outcomes of their transfers, the club's attention has shifted from recruitment to offloading unwanted players.

Pochettino's official takeover is scheduled for July 1, following the announcement of his two-year contract on Monday.

With the daunting task ahead, as Chelsea ended the Premier League season in 12th place with only 44 points – their lowest tally since 1987/88, the former Tottenham and Paris Saint-Germain manager faces a colossal challenge.

Chelsea is anticipated to part ways with Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, Hakim Ziyech, Christian Pulisic, Edouard Mendy, and Callum Hudson-Odoi, as the club aims to secure permanent transfers for this fringe group.

Chelsea is prepared to send Joao Felix and Denis Zakaria back to their parent clubs as their loan spells at the club come to an end. While Felix has shown flashes of promise since his arrival from Atletico Madrid in January, Pochettino has no intentions of making his stay permanent.

"We have been informed of this decision less than 24 hours ago. The Chelsea manager has made it clear that he does not have plans for him," stated Atleti president Enrique Cerezo on Tuesday. "Once his loan period concludes, he will return to us, and then we will evaluate the situation. He remains an Atletico Madrid player, and we will see what unfolds."

Throughout his tenure at Chelsea, João Félix, the gifted forward from Portugal, demonstrated a remarkable performance that left a lasting impression.

With his exceptional control over the ball, agility, and clinical precision in front of the goal, Félix played a pivotal role in bolstering the team's attacking prowess.

Despite making notable progress, his overall impact fell short of the towering expectations set for him, highlighting the need for continued development.

We extend our sincere wishes for a successful tenure to Mauricio Pochettino as he assumes the role of the new manager at Chelsea.
