Fast x Fast Takes the Fast & Furious Franchise to New Heights
is a 2023 American action film directed by Louis Leterrier from a screenplay by Dan Mazeau and Justin Lin, based on a story by Mazeau, Lin, and Zach Dean. It is the sequel to F9 (2021)
The tenth mainline installment, and the eleventh installment overall in the Fast & Furious franchise. It stars Vin Diesel as Dominic Toretto with a supporting ensemble cast that includes Jason Momoa, Michelle Rodriguez, Tyrese Gibson, Ludacris, John Cena
Nathalie Emmanuel, Jordana Brewster, Sung Kang, Scott Eastwood, Daniela Melchior, Alan Ritchson, Helen Mirren, Brie Larson, Rita Moreno, Jason Statham, and Charlize Theron. In the film, Toretto must protect his family from Dante Reyes (Momoa), who seeks revenge for his father's death ten years prior, and loss of his family's fortune.
Over many missions and against impossible odds, Dom Toretto and his family have outsmarted and outdriven every foe in their path.
Now, they must confront the most lethal opponent they've ever faced. Fueled by revenge, a terrifying threat emerges from the shadows of the past to shatter Dom's world and destroy everything and everyone he loves.
With 65 overseas markets under its fan-belt, Universal’s Fast X has grossed $68.7M at the international box office through Thursday.
The full day yesterday was $35.1M (including previews in eight markets). The Toretto family is No. 1 in all majors and reporting markets.
Mexico has a running cume of $4.2M through Thursday. $2.1M take was above both F9 and Hobbs & Shaw. France added $2.2M yesterday to reach a $4M cume so far.
Fast X was No.1 in the market for the Ascension Day holiday, rising 27% from Wednesday’s start. Excluding previews, the two-day total is 22% above F9. Indonesia has grossed $3.5M through two days.
In Germany, Fast X has a $3.2M cume through Thursday, 64% above F9 and 46% over Hobbs & Shaw. India gave the crew a No. 1 opening on Thursday with $1.7M; Italy bowed to $1.1M on Thursday, notable as three Italian football teams were playing in European cups in the same evening. The first day is the second-biggest opening of the year, behind only Super Mario Bros.

The off-screen interviewer begins: "I see you got the 'For Paul' shirt," before Diesel begins to pick up on what the next question may be.
"I love that," he replies, "keep going you're on to something."
The interviewer obliges and continues: "You got the 'For Paul' shirt on - what would he think about how you guys have carried on this legacy?"
The Hollywood A-lister takes a moment to collect himself before doing a deep breath.
He replied: "Okay, you want to go there? You want to go there?"
"Okay," the actor began, "what would he think?"
Diesel then recounted an anecdote about Walker and just how selfless and genuine he was.
He recalled: "In 2010 there was an earthquake in Haiti.
"The president of the Dominican Republic asked me to come down and asked me if I could bring any of the people from Hollywood."
The actor revealed that although he 'called everyone' to come and support the cause, it was his beloved co-star who really came through when he needed it the most.
"The only person that came was Paul Walker," he said.
