Don jazzy Afrobeats music executive and label owner: Shows his diversity following his latest movie Debut, the kujus again


Don Jazzy, is a Nigerian record producer. He is the founder and the CEO of Mavin Records.

Michael Collins Ajereh (born 26 November 1982), known professionally as Don jazzy

Don Jazzy married Michelle Jackson in 2003. He claims they both had issues as a result of his ambitious nature and subsequently divorced about two years after they wed.

 However, he doesn't plan to marry again soon because he fears his love and dedication to music will hurt someone's feelings again.

Don jazzy is a big name in the afrobeats scene, his a talented music producer, he has produced for a lot of afrobeat artists from different era, the ambitious music mogul is one of the pioneer of afrobeats sounds from way back 

In 2011, Don Jazzy was employed by Kanye West as a producer at Very Good Beatz. Don Jazzy worked with Jay-Z

and Kanye West on the production of Lift Off, featuring Beyoncé on the album Watch The Throne which was released on 8 August 2011



On 7 May 2012, Don Jazzy announced a new record label, (Mavin Records) He said, "I see Mavin Records being the power house of music in Africa in the shortest possible time." 

On 8 May 2012, he released an album featuring the artists signed to his label. The songs on the album included: "Amarachi", "Forever", "Oma Ga", "Take Banana and Chocolate", "YOLO" and the anthem "I'm a MAVIN". 

Mavin records signed the vocalist, Tiwa Savage. Don Jazzy built a social network platform called "Marvin League" to complement and market his label.


In 2019, he signed Rema 
the talented Mavin act rose to stardom after releasing the song "Dumebi". 
he signed a record deal with Jonzing World, a subsidiary of Mavin Records.

Rema is best known internationally for his 2022 hit single "Calm Down", the remix of which, with Selena Gomez, peaked at No. 5 on the Billboard Hot 100 and led the U.S. Afrobeats Songs for a record-setting 35 weeks.

So much anticipation was droved by the first ever Don Jazzy feature in a Nollywood movie, ‘The Kujus Again’ generates excitement among cinema-goers and is tipped to dominate the box office when it opens.

Speaking on what to expect, Winifred Okpapi, producer, said, “For one, it was a natural decision for us to return to set for a sequel of Introducing The Kujus following the yearning of fans. 

As expected from a Nigerian family, the stories are endless, so we are excited to bring them to your screens again.

‘‘The Kujus franchise does something very significant for Nigerian cinema, and it reawakens a family bond by offering something for everyone, regardless. 

What’s more, with Don Jazzy in the mix, it gets more interesting, and I am sure that fans will enjoy the sequel as well.”


The Kuju Again tells the story of how the family gathered again, this time they gathered at a hotel resort for the traditional wedding of Mauyon and Lily

 but things quickly take a turn for the worse when underlying tension meets unfortunate incidents as money and people go missing

Don Jazzy offers a fresh charm and a new twist to the well-loved family drama. 
The multi-talented actor gave us more reasons to crave the sequel, and he made sure it was worth it. 

The Kujus Again brought back the riveting intrigues and drama that kept fans glued to the edge of their seats.
